SilverArts Follies

This event will serve as the official performance for the SilverArts competition. Participants will showcase their incredible talents, and we warmly invite their families, friends, and the public to attend. Celebrate the creativity, passion, and artistry of our talented performers at this special event! More information, like submission drop off and pick up dates/times will be sent by the SilverArts coordinator, Amy Pridgen, via email after the registration window closes.

Cycling - Upright & Recumbent

Join us for an exciting multi-race event featuring multiple distances and categories! Choose from 1 Mile, 5K, or 10K races, with options for both traditional bicycles and recumbent bicycles. Participants must provide their own non-motorized bicycles, free from resistance-reducing devices (spoke covers are permitted). Recumbent bicycles will be timed in separate categories but will race alongside traditional bicycles.

Road Races - 5k & 10k

For this event, participants will have the option to compete in either a 5K race or a 10K race. Per state finals guidelines, participants must select only one race to compete in, and this choice must be made prior to the event. Be sure to choose the race that best fits your goals and prepare accordingly!

Mini Golf

We are excited to partner with the Johnson County Senior Games to offer mini-golf for the first time in a long time! Join us for a day of fun and friendly competition. Please note that a $6 fee per participant will be added to registration to participate in this event.

Bowling - Singles

For golf, a participant must finish 1, 2 or 3 in Gross Scoring and meet the following minimum performance standards to qualify in Golf for State Finals.  Qualifiers will be determined by 18-hole for golfers ages 89 and under.  Qualifiers for ages 90 and above will be determined by 9-hole score.

Billiards

Wake County Senior Games will provide the required balls & cues. Participants may use their own cues as long as they are meeting NCSG specifications.

Disc Golf

Competition will be conducted on this 9-hole course; because there are only 9 holes, all 9 holes will be played twice. All Males and Females 90+ can choose to play 9 holes instead of 18. Per state guidelines, when there is difference in 9 vs. 18 holes played in the 90+ age groups, score on the first nine holes played will determine winners. Discs used for play must meet the technical standards set forth by the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA). Players must provide their own discs.

Table Tennis - Singles/Doubles/Mixed Doubles

Tournament format, specific reporting times and other important info will be communicated to participants by the Event Manager, Laura Crumpler in March once registration has ended. Wake County Senior Games will provide provides required balls. Participants must provide legal paddles.

Cornhole

Specific reporting times and other important info will be communicated to participants by the Event Manager, Meghan Rushing in March once registration has ended. A match will consist of 2 out of 3 games to 7 frames or 21 points. Tournament format is Single Elimination. Wake County Senior Games will provide the required bags.

Wake County Senior Games provides required horseshoes, but participants may use their own provided they meet NCSG specifications.
